Зубарєв Валерій Володимирович

Vice President of the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Head of the ULIE Commission for Defense Industry

Zubarev Valeriy Volodymyrovych was born on October 13, 1951 in Balta, Odesa region. He graduated from Odesa Polytechnic Institute in 1973 with a degree in electronic engineering.

His career began at the Pozytron Plant in Ivano-Frankivsk. He worked as workman, head of area, deputy head of workshop at this enterprise.

He has experience in work for state agencies. He held the positions of head of department and director of department at the Ministry of Machine-building, Military-Industrial Complex and Conversion of Ukraine.

In 1997 he was appointed as deputy industrial policy minister of Ukraine. Later on he worked as deputy state secretary at the Ministry of Economy and European Integration of Ukraine, first deputy state secretary of the industrial policy minister and deputy industrial policy minister of Ukraine.

In 2005 he worked for the apparatus of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, where he headed the department of military and technical policy and military industry. He was involved in the elaboration and adoption of a number of laws of Ukraine, instructions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine concerning reform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the country's defense industry and military science.

He has a degree of Doctor of Technical Science, professor and winner of the State Prize of Ukraine in the sphere of science and technology, honored employee of Ukrainian industry. He was awarded with the Order of Merits of the 3rd degree and certificate of honor from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
