ULIE Vice President for Export Support
Prokhorov Yuriy Serhiyovych was born in Kryvy Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region, on August 22, 1977. He got his degrees in economy at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and Freiburg University in Switzerland.
While studying he intermediated in the negotiations between the companies Buhler AG, Wipf AG, Zim-clip GmbH, Givaudan (Suisse) SA and arranged the supply of a range of goods from Switzerland to Ukraine, including stretch film for food industry, packing equipment, natural colors for food industry, etc.
After graduation he worked under the mandates of Ukrainian companies (receiving approval documents for import of oil and lubrication products from Switzerland, chemical industry products, export of printed products, light industry products) and in 2004 he started handling export of Ukrainian products to Switzerland, particularly Rosava tires for cars.
In 2007, he started to cooperate with Swiss Import Promotion Program (SIPPO), a state program for the development of international cooperation, and in January 2011 he became SIPPO representative in Ukraine.
He organizes business events for Ukrainian and foreign entrepreneurs (Switzerland-Ukraine). In particular, he initiated the fallowing forums: Switzerland for Ukraine in Kyiv in November 2008, Energy Efficiency and Investment in Zurich in April 2009.
Prokhorov is a member of Ukrainian-Swiss Intergovernmental Commission.
In 2012, Yuriy Prokhorov was appointed as ULIE vice president for export support.
He is fluent in German, French and English.
